Rates
Weekly hourlong and half-hourlong lessons are available at Evanston Winds and Brass. Rates are fifty dollars per hour lesson and thirty dollars per half-hour. We strongly encourage all intermediate to advanced students to take hourlong lessons, if it is feasible, simply because of the amount of material covered does not usually fit within a half-hour lesson.
Scholarships are available at the discretion of the student's instructor. Evanston Winds & Brass gives a family discount of five dollars off of each lesson (for a savings of forty or more dollars per month) when two or more family members are enrolled in lessons.
Instruments
Evanston Winds and Brass students are required to have access to an instrument that they can bring to lessons and use during practice. Many school instruments are perfectly acceptable. If you are an adult students or would like to rent or buy an instrument for your child, please explore our recommendations below.
MoreOther Materials
Other materials which may be required for lessons include a music stand, metronome, tuner, sheet music, and instrument accessories such as cleaning supplies, reeds, or lubricants. In some cases, you may purchase these items yourself at the recommendation of your teacher. Your instructor may also provide these materials at cost.
